One of Britain’s premier hard rock exports, Dunfermline’s Nazareth are famed for their brilliant interpretations of other people’s songs as well as their crunching originals. Formed in 1968, for over two decades they were propelled by Pete Agnew (bass), drummer Darrell Sweet (who sadly passed away in 1999), the inventive guitar work of Manny Charlton and the rasping, near-superhuman vocals of Dan McCafferty, who made Rod Stewart sound like Johnny Mathis.
In 2014 Nazareth released a new album called Rock n Roll Telephone on the Union Square Music label, which is available in 2LP, 2CD, CD, boxset and download versions.
