Three New Releases from Salvo Sound & Vision on 10 February
16/01/2014
Gary Moore & the Midnight Blues Band Live in Concert at the 1990 Montreux Jazz Festival SALVOSVX015
Gary
Moore first performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1990, and
afterwards became a regular visitor. This debut performance with The
Midnight Blues Band and special guest Albert Collins are presented here
on DVD and CD (12 of the 16 tracks) for the first time. Songs include
’Texas Strut’, ’Stop Messing Around’, ’King of the Blues’ and ’Cold Cold
Feeling’ (featuring Albert Collins).
Alice Cooper Brutally Live SALVOSVX022 An Alice Cooper performance is a uniquely theatrical rock ’n’ roll show. Filmed at Hammersmith Apollo on 19th July 2000, Brutally Live
is a fitting testament to Cooper’s legacy of riff-heavy hard rock
shrouded in tongue-in-cheek theatrics. Tracks include ’No Mr Nice Guy’,
’I’m Eighteen’, ’School’s Out’, and ’Elected’.
The Damned Tiki Nightmare SALVOSVX023 In
the 21st century, The Damned remain a full throttle rock ’n’ roll band,
steeped in their unique mix of punk, goth, psychedelia, prog and
general mayhem, as befits such a trailblazing group. The line-up at this
show, recorded at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire in July 2002,
includes founding members Dave Vanian and Captain Sensible alongside
bass player Patricia Morrison (The Cramps, The Gun Club), keys man Monty
Oxy Moron and drummer Pinch. This 2 CD/1 DVD set includes The Damned
classics ’New Rose’ and ’Neat Neat Neat’ alongside storming tracks from
their more recent albums.
